Open Call for Professional Artists' Submissions
2011 – 2012 Exhibition Schedule
Our next Open Call for Professional Artists' Submissions deadline
for the 2011 - 2012 exhibition schedule is April 18, 2011.
Since 1974, Visual Arts at Harbourfront Centre has been committed to the promotion and exhibition of the newest in contemporary craft, design, architecture, new media, and visual arts. It seeks to foster a professional and creative environment for curators and artists. Artists are given the ability to build on ideas and experiment with the creative process in traditional and non-traditional venues. Harbourfront Centre is able to showcase emerging artists from varied communities in venues accessible to a broad range of the general public.
York Quay Centre is a non-profit and non-collecting exhibition space. The Visual Arts Department programs five exhibition slots a year through submission proposals and internal directives.
The foundation of Visual Arts at Harbourfront Centre is that it facilitates a wide spectrum of initiatives serving local artistic communities as well as national and international artistic endeavours.
