HATCH 2012 - Where new performance begins.

Where New Performance Begins

HATCH is Harbourfront Centre’s annual performing artist residency programme. This is your chance to encounter some of the most original, exciting and fresh voices our city has to offer.

As an audience member, you play a vital role in the creative process, assisting artists in bringing these new visions to life. Following each HATCH presentation, there’s a Q-and-A where you’re invited to engage and interact with the artists. After the Q-and-A is a post-performance reception where you can futher discus the work with the creative team and other members of the audience over a beer or glass of wine. Your presence and feedback are not only welcome, but encouraged.

HATCH has produced numerous projects which have gone on to presentations in Canada and around the world and have garnered many awards and professional accolades, including Hannah Moscovitch’s The Russian Play, Small Wooden Shoe's Dedicated to the Revolutions, and Aluna Theatre’s Nohayquiensepa.

Be there from the start. Be there for HATCH.
